The unit is a great opening in to the discussion of both roles the Teacher and the student play. I personally have had some knowledge of the topics in the unit but still found most of the information to be very useful, especially the roles (manager, assessor, tutor, faclitator,..ect)
because I had not really thought about the negative impacts of the roles in teaching. I really didn't understand the need for the European framework, while I could find it useful if I were teaching in that part of the world, the structure of the framework and its wording was more than confusing. I suppose that Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced were too easy so they decided to use Waystage and Vantage; terms that don't make any sense to an American.
