This unit has taught me the main objectives for the course. After reviewing the content of all the units, I understand that I will have the opportunity to learn the role of the English teacher in the context of young learners and how this is different than working with adult learners. I also see that I will develop skills in creating a teaching syllabus and be able to think of possible lesson plans that would be appropriate for the young learner classroom. I will also have a better understanding of an effective way to create or find teaching materials and methods for assessing my future students. Finally, the course will also highlight some potential professional development activities that I can look into after the completion of this course.
