Unit 3 focuses on the layout of the course, which is essentially your course syllabus. Although each course is unique, we must first consider and determine the needs of our students, in order to develop the best syllabus. Each course should dedicate time at the beginning to assess students, finding out their ability levels as well as their language needs within their positions. Once the levels and needs of students are determined, you can better group students and provide the necessary lessons and materials. Throughout your course you'll teach lessons you plan out on your syllabus. When planning your timeline and syllabus it's important to keep in mind that you need to be flexible, and provide some time for review as well as final assessments.
