This unit gave me helpful information as to how to manage a classroom. I knew most of the information, but some were new and helpful. For instance, I learned that students should not be moved without reason. There must be some purpose to it that students can see. Sometimes, when I move students, I do not explain why or the reason to the move is not clear to the students. A few months ago, my classroom of six students were playing a review jeopardy game. I wanted pairs of two to create a team, but I wanted a fair and equal chance to all teams so I chose the pairs: a strong English speaker with a weaker one, but the students may not have understood this reasoning. Maybe next time, I should move students randomly based on a fair and unbiased draw.
