Lesson planning is necessary for a teacher in order to be prepared for their class. The functions of the planning itself are an aid to planning, which will help the teacher to think logically through the stages and the time, a working document which will help the teacher to recognize the target and have something to refer to, and also a record which will help them to know what materials have been used and also when other teachers have to fill in for the class. Lesson plan itself should contain learner objectives, personal aims, language point, teaching aids or materials, anticipated problems and solution, procedure, phase (in regards to ESA), timing, interaction, class level, number of students, date and time and also teacher's and observer's name.
