A teacher needs to be prepared all the time, and a lesson planning helps teacher's preparedness. A lesson plan keeps records of all about the lesson, what the teacher wants to achieve after every class, what procedures will be used, materials and equipment needed, time frame for every lesson input and etc. A lesson plan should be flexible, too. It needs to include the new entries for activities that were not planned beforehand as to make the lesson plan accurate. A lesson plan also helps the teacher by gauging the rate of success on every topic. It is a written reminder for the teacher to know what were accepted easily by the students and also, to identify which part of the lesson is hard to understand and is should be given more time and focus on.
