This section focused on teaching productive skills: speaking and writing. It was helpful to get tips on encouraging students to speak such as by changing the classroom dynamic because I often have difficulty to get my students to speak. It was also insightful to get some ideas on teaching writing because this is often a skill I don not focus much on my classes. Writing, particularly creative, is a skill I would like to help my students with more because much of the writing they are restricted to doing is what is on entrance exams. For these exams, much of their writing is translation or spelling. I would like students to do more creative writing because it encourages them to think creative while having additional practice in producing language.
