From this unit, I have learned that a good teacher is kind, patient, sensitive, enthusiastic, and cares more about the learning of the students than his/her teaching. This unit also emphasized importance of creating lessons that are fun, varied, and useful in order to build and maintain motivation. This is key since a motivated student has a greater chance of success than a student who lacks motivation. Lastly, I have learned that a teacher should pay special attention to the age of the learners and plan activities that will best suit and motivate the students. For example, when teaching young learners, the teacher should make the classes varied and interesting due to the lack motivation as well as the shorter attention spans of the younger learners.
