In a classroom setting, teachers and students need to create balance, ultimately working together to create an effective and engaging learning experience. Teachers should be empathetic and motivated, as well as have strong course knowledge and love to teach it! Teachers are responsible for taking on a number of roles within the classroom, including acting as managers (taking control of the class), prompters (encouraging students to push on), and participants (jumping into activities to make them more valuable when appropriate). Depending on students age, prior learning experience, motivation, and more, teachers will have to adjust their lesson plans. Teachers must also take into account the wide range of language levels their students may fall under.
