After reading this unit, I have a clearer idea of the different roles a language teacher can choose from. I have also realized the importance of switching and adapting the teacher's role according to student age, language level, cultural background, learning experiences, classroom activities, etc. I like how the unit starts with a list of qualities for good teacher and good student, which provides me a chance to reflect on building qualities that I might lack to become a better teacher. I also like the comparison between adult learners and young learners because there are real fundamental differences between these two groups of learners. What's more, the description for the six language levels allows me to define and place my students more accurately.
