In this unit, I watched two lessons completed by the same teachers with the same students, but with different teaching methods. In the first video, the teacher was unenthusiastic, impatient, gave unclear directions, and intimated his students with his attitude. As a result, the students were intimated and were scared to participate. In the second video, the teacher was cheerful, personable (learned all of the students' names and used it during class), gave clear directions, and used ESA in a fun, entertaining way. As a result, the students were relaxed, had fun, and seemed to learn a lot. This biggest lesson this unit taught me is that your attitude determines a lot. The more enthusiastic you are, the better your students will receive the information.
