I enjoyed the teaching video along with the written material for this unit. We covered the why and how to make a lesson plan such as having a working document that will be used as a record for what is to be taught and what has been accomplished in class. The plan examples were given so that the teacher could stay organized and on schedule without being rigid. We explored what it meant to have teacher aims as well as learner goals included on our plan and that if we could anticipate problems while planning we could also plan for solutions to be used if those issues came up. Lastly, we went over different notes on planning and modeling. One area was the Study phase activities with the DEGO..Demonstrate, Elicit correct response and Give Out materials.
