This lesson taught me several qualities that most people think would belong to a ‘good teacher’ and a those that would define a 'good learner'. I found out from the video lecture that the consensus is that the top three qualities of a 'good teacher' are ‘fairness,'’ ‘having a good knowledge of the subject they are teaching,’ and ‘being able to motivate the learners.’ I gained a better grasp of some of the 'motivations', 'experiences', and 'behaviors' that (depending on their age) learners bring into the classroom. Lastly I now have a more clear understanding of the general categorizations of 'learners' e.g. 'Starter/Beginner', 'Elementary', 'Pre-Intermediate', 'Intermediate', 'Upper-Intermediate,' and 'Advanced'.
