This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit lesson reviewed some previously learned material as well as introduced some new ideas. The ESA method ( Engage, Study, Activate ) which was introduced earlier in the Unit series is a learning method devised to be effective at helping students learn effectively. It is a departure from traditional teaching methods of reading and wrote memorization. With ESA the sudents warm up thier minds slowly with a light hearted class session called the Engage phase and then focus on the newly learned material in the Study phase and finally students participate in a class activity with the Activate phase. This unit elaborated on several iterations of this concept including the \" straight arrow \" and the \" boomerang \" as well as the \"patchwork \" method.
