This unit covers the present tense and the affirmative, negative, and question forms. The present simple tense common uses are for routines, facts instructions etc. the affirmative being I work, the negative I don't work and the question do you work? Usage is for talking about action in progress, background events, temporary action, developing situations. Present prefect relates past, I have written a book, usage is for finished actions or States. This also have regular and contracted I have changes to I've. Present perfect continuous relates last to present. Action is still in progress or likely to continue. Usage for incomplete or ongoing activity.
