i liked this unit as it got into the detail of what books and materials you need to use.
The advantages of having a course book is that it will provide balanced mix of grammar,vocabulary and skills work.
On the other hand there are a few disadvantages of having a course book too as some students might not like the book and might be reluctant to use it.
You will always have that with having the material in classes it might be useful but people might not want to use it.
I also found it interesting how using cross-words,flash cards etc is very important especially with younger class rooms as they'll be more interested in it than older class groups so you have to be aware of the stages/groups of classes you have and you bring all the appropriate material.
