This unit gives a very detailed example of what lesson plans should include. By stating that planning is necessary and the need for being flexible will benefit new teachers. The ability to plan and evaluate a lesson is a necessary tool for teachers to improve on their abilities. However, the ability to plan a lesson does not mean it will be executed as such. By having a lesson plan and a record of the activities it will make it easier for you to adapt to situations and decide what will be best for the students when it comes to satisfying the lesson objective. By keeping that record you will ensure that all the information needed is covered at one point or another and have notes or ideas for the next time you need to teach the same or a similar lesson.
