This unit covers various aspects of classroom management from how to maintain discipline within the classroom, lesson planning and the use of materials, both authentic and non-authentic, within the lessons to gain the best result from the students. The most notable aspect of this unit that I found was the classroom discipline section and how to manage the classroom effectively and in a non-threatening manner.It was interesting reading the three types of classroom control (rigid teacher control, minimal teacher control and controlled active). Initially I thought the 'controlled active' method would be best but upon further reading I learned that all 3 methods are used at differing times. This has been an eye-opener for me and how I will manage my classrooms.
