This unit covers the basics of teaching productive skills. The two productive skills include speaking and writing. These two skills are used to communicate. The unit begins with the two activities that are most commonly used when teaching productive skills. These are accuracy and fluency based activities. These activities include controlled, guided, and creative communication exercises. The unit continues by describing how to implement these activities and how and when to give feedback to the students. The unit finishes by covering the most neglected skill of the TEFL world; writing. In this section, the unit shows how to implement writing activities and appropriate games in the classroom while maintaining fluency, correct punctuation, and creative writing.
