I was particularly interested in 'What makes a good teacher'. There are of course the more basic and obvious reasons , as in 1-4 , but I was more taken with the last 4 .
Having a good rapport and interaction with students .
Involving all students in a lesson.
Correcting students without offending them .
Recognising a students' weakness and giving them the necessary individual attention .
And of course , where the teacher cares more about the learning of his/her students
The comparison between adult and junior students , although seemingly apparent , was of interest also , especially the issue of motivation. It made me think that teaching younger students was likely to be more difficult than teaching adults , which had never occurred to me before .
