This unit is a continuation of the lesson on English grammar. This time, the focus is on modal auxiliary verbs, passive voice, relative clause as well as phrasal verbs.
While treating each of the above sub heads, attention are given to the basic rules guiding their formation and usage.
Helpful teaching ideas are also given on how to enhance students' learning of these grammar.
From the whole unit in general and from the teaching ideas in particular, I have learnt what to do at each phase of studies to help students be able to form and use these grammars as efficiently as possible. For example, adapting a Doctor-Patient relationship into a Role-Play at activate phase of a modal lesson would help students understand the use of modals that express obligation.
