I grew up form a local area wherein intonation won't be a problem because we speak in a plain, loud and clear manner. However, most people think that because of the tone of my voice, I talk like I am always mad. Adopting to different languages and practicing them wasn't that challenging enough since we find it an easy way out, but reducing the tone to a gentle manner was tough. one way to overcome such challenge was focusing on stress of words I say especially in the English language. It would be my advantage because my voice seem to be coupled with authority and power, but would sometimes scare people out especially kids at times. This chapter would be much helpful, and honestly, I spent more time just to let it sink more than I did with the other chapters.
