This was a interesting, but rather short, unit. However, it provided me again with a lot of insight about how to start with teaching new students (a new class) English. In my opinion it was interesting to see that you shouldn't use the course book in the first lesson, but rather focus on relationship-building. Furthermore, this unite was interesting, due to the several suggestions about how to deal with reluctant and bored students.I think this class is particularly interesting because I have struggled with class management in the past, and this has provided me with an interesting outlook on class management. I hope to use these skills, especially building rapport, in the future. One question I have is how I can establish rapport with quiet students who don't speak much and I don't pay much attention to. Is there a process for getting these students engaged?
