There are several modes of learning that a teacher needs to consider when teaching a new language to their students. Receptive skills deal with taking in information from an external source and comprehending that information to draw out information. The two types of receptive skills are reading and listening. Reading is somewhat easier because the student can read the words multiple times and use context clues to figure out meaning.This unit was quite challenging but also interesting simultaneously. I realised I had to go back to previous units (4 and 6) to get the most from this unit, otherwise it would have been quite difficult to fully understand the whole content. It was good to go back and refresh my memory as well as using that knowledge to gain new ones. This unit I found personally was difficult as the content to understand and memorise is quite large.
