In this unit, I learned about the past tense forms. I learned how to identify the structures of the tenses and how they are used in forming a sentence. I also learned about different activities I can use as the teacher to activate this language point for the students. After this unit, I feel it has given me a much better understanding of the past tenses and how to identify them and accurately structure sentences.Unit 15 on evaluation and testing was helpful to clarify the different types of tests and what they assess. It was beneficial to learn the differences between a diagnostic, progress, placement and external exam. I was a bit unsure of the difference between a placement test and a diagnostic test because they are pretty much the same thing. I will definitely refer to the information in this unit as an ESL teacher.
