This unit helped me to revise the material on modal verbs, passive voice and phrasal verbs. I liked the way the material on modal verbs was systematized. It gave a clear picture of functions of each modal verb. It?s the first I?ve heard about a classification of phrasal verbs into intransitive, transitive separable and transitive inseparable. This classification seemed to me quite logical.Unit Overview:
While course books can be very useful seeing that they have been tried and tested, it may be to the students' disadvantage seeing that the material doesn't always cater for the individual. For this reason the onus is on the teacher to carefully select course books if possible and to supplement them accordingly if they are not given a choice and the course books have to be used.
