The grammar points in this Unit, Modals, passive voice, relative clauses and phrasal verbs are quite natural to me as they are very similar to my mother tongue German. However, I find it quite difficult to teach and explain these topics, especially here in Asia. I will try the teaching ideas but I guess I just have to learn the local language to be able to tell them about equivalents in their language.In this unit, I learned how to troubleshoot a classroom. it covered large class sizes, reluctant students, and different English levels. The most helpful advice was over the first lesson and what is appropriate and was is not. It gave me more confidence for teaching my first classroom with such advice like not relying on your course book and using warmers to warm up the classroom and build a rapport.
