Unit seven reviews teaching receptive skills, reading and listening. Four basic skills equally important in any language are reading and listening-receptive skills, and speaking and writing-productive skills. Reasons for reading and listening as well as how we read and listen are covered. Why the topic is so important and how to generate interest in the topic is discussed, concluding with problems in reading and listening.I feel like a lot of information in this unit was general information for anyone teaching in a classroom environment, rather than information regarding a teacher teaching EFL. I feel like a lot of the units towards the end have not had entirely relevant content, which makes me think this course just needed to meet the 120 hour requirement. I apologize if I am mistaken. It's just that most of this knowledge seems intuitive.
