This unit covers two of four important basic skill in an language ie. receptive skills - reading and listening who are equally important. it covers the reasons / motivation to read and listen, the skills needed when reading or listening, and the problems I may face while teaching students. It also provides an ESA format to illustrate the integration of these two skills in the classroom.Some non verbal aspects can have great effect on a classroom, like the postitioning of chairs and the amount of control the teachers has. It is never easy to maintain diciplince, but with the right solutions any classroom can be taken under control. However the teacher should remain calm and collected and not lose his temper even when facing unruly or annoying students in the classroom.
