The most important factor in establishing and maintaining a classroom discipline is fostering good rapport between students and teacher. A teacher must be sensitive of the child's background. They must manage in a way that protects dignity of an individual without compromising the learning atmosphere of the entire class. Instructions and objectives should be clear and simple for the students to succeed.From this unit I have learned how to structure a lesson plan for class. This unit also reinforced previous topics covered such as the ESA technique. I feel really confident in my knowledge of the ESA method and my ability to apply it to lesson plans and real class room situations. I see the value in Engage, Study and Activate method. Also, I have learned to keep lesson plans flexible, fun and effective.
