Writing and speaking or productive skills was the focus of this unit. I enjoyed the resources offered for planning lessons that are enjoyable and engaging for the students. Teachers should be focused on the overall picture rather than break the student's confidence when it comes to writing and speaking. Students should be encouraged to engage in both activities however it is sad to note that writing takes a backseat often.It was interesting to learn that tenses I use everyday has a tense name and its' own rule. I found out that it is very important to teach students how to use correct tenses in a correct situation. There are so many irregular rules which English learners must learn (while native English speakers know them naturally) which teachers have to point out. It would be great to make a tense chart so students can see it in one page.
