This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit gave a summary of what should or shouldn't be included in a lesson plan, and why. The way seemed pretty logical and straightforward: records, a working document for in class, and a helpful way to plan in an organized manner. What i thought was most interesting was how much this unit pushed for flexibility. It can be very difficult to plan a flexible lesson. A lot must go into it. Things like brainstorming possible problems and solutions, gauging how much time an activity will take or laying out all the materials in a organized clean room help prepare for flexibility, but don't guarantee it. I just thought it was very interesting that while planning a lesson the most important thing to remember is to be flexible within your class and your plan.
