The seven common future tenses are future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, be going + infinitive, present simple, and present continuous. Present simple and present continuous are technically not future tenses but can have future implications. A good distinction between present simple and present simple in the future tense is that the future tense is commonly used when referring to timetables and schedules. A sentence using future present simple would be something like this: \"The plane to Seattle leaves from gate 15 at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.\" Common errors come from confusion between the tenses, like future simple and \"be going to\" getting mixed up. Students also will commonly miss part of the structure in the sentence.
