This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Of all the units done up until now, this one is the most experience-based one. It is good to read about teaching language, but in my opinion, it helps so much more to try for real, even just simulating teaching a class, but saying things loud and doing the timing right. But it is very good to match the content of this unit with what I have experienced working in a class. This unit was more work for me than the others but also the most interesting. I really like phonics even though most people do not and something it can be quite annoying. But it has always facinated me to learn about our pronunciation of words. I think, unlike what the unit says about most English teachers not having confidence to teach proper pronunciation, that I will.
