This unit was about receptive skills and the different forms they contain. I learned from this section that it's very useful to teach any difficult words that will be used prior to the activity that will use them because this will make the activity smoother, plus help the students to gain confidence because they will get through the task with less difficulty. Also I learned that authentic texts can be useful as a means for higher level students to learn from and boost their confidence. And what I feel is most important that I learned is that it is good to try and learn the interests of the students because the more interest they have in the subject the more motivated they will be to learn, so in turn they will work harder and have a better learning experience.
