Receptive skills are Reading and Listening skills of any language. We read or listen to something either to achieve an aim or for entertaining. There are number of problems that can be encountered when teach or learn receptive skills. By using different techniques, these problems can be overcome.
By referring this unit, I learnt what the receptive skills are, and what are the problems would be met while learning or teaching receptive skills and the techniques that can be used to overcome these issues. also got to know that it is very important to enhance students' interest while teaching a lesson to improve receptive skills. Given example for a patchwork lesson and the sample task sheets that have been given also was very important to get an idea.
