Unit 17 provided useful information regarding different multi-media tools that can be employed in the classroom. I was especially fascinated by the use of video cameras. This unit taught me that they can be used to record an activity and played back for analysis and discussion, and/or as part of a project. With the popularity of smartphones, it is particularly intriguing to use these types of devices in an engaging way for the students. Also, the overhead projector has many advantages in the classroom. The teacher may spend less time with his/her/their back to the students, and the information can be prepared in advance so as to cut down on time writing on the board. The integration of many forms of equipment and teaching aids is important for dynamic lessons.
