In Unit 19, I learn about teaching five different special groups—beginners, individuals, young learners, business English and monolingual vs multilingual students. For each special group of learners, I learn about different things we should keep in mind to make teaching a success, the problems we will face teaching that specific group, the dos and don’ts, and the methods and techniques in teaching each special group.
The skills I learn in teaching young learners is beneficial to me as I’m a teacher of young learners. I learn that I should always praise them for their efforts in learning, promote constant repetition, ensure slow and simple speech, prepare lots of activities and games to make their lessons fun and keep them motivated in learning.
