This unit gives two demonstrations of teaching in progress. The first video demonstrates what not to do, as a teacher, in the classroom. His attitude and mannerism means the students are not engaged in the lesson, feel isolated and are not actively using the language. As a result the first video lesson is very uncomfortable to watch. In the second video the teacher is far more engaging resulting in the students being actively involved int he class and using the language. As mentioned I felt very uncomfortable watching the first video since the manner of the teacher was actually quite hostile and it was reflected in the faces of the students. This unit serves as an excellent demonstration of how much the manner of the teacher influences the outcome of the class.
