This unit is a study of parts of the speech and grammar rules. There are 8 parts of the speech,which was taught, and they are noun, verb, adjective, adverb, preposition/conjunction, article, pronoun and gerunds. As I study these different parts of the speech, it helps me to be more aware of grammar usage when speaking and using the language. Though these were already taught when I started learning the language in school, speaking English has become so convenient in daily communication that the right grammar usage can be easily neglected, hence, forming or speaking broken English sentences is not uncommon.
Grammar is the basics and structure of the English language and every English teacher should have a good knowledge in to be able to teach the language well.
