A good teacher should be flexible both at the lesson and in lesson planning. The style of lesson planning is quite individual. Teachers may make notes or complete lesson plan forms. Writing of lesson plans keeps teachers to think logically, to keep on target, gives something to refer during the lesson and acts as a record of what each class did and which materials were used.
Each teacher has to find their own way of fixing lesson plans, considering basic principles, such as keeping plans simple, not trying to script the lesson, structuring, keeping plans flexible and open to adaptation and others. A lesson plan should include learner objectives, personal aims, language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems, procedure, phase, timing, type of interaction etc.
