This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I thought this unit was particularly useless. It discussed information about textbooks. The information was either provided earlier in the course, or was too simple. For instance it was mentioned that textbooks come with the disadvantage that they are not specifically catered to your group. It is fine if a unit contains some open-doors, but this was a bit too much. I did like the telephone exercise examples. As this was such a short unit it was still nice to be reminded of how to deal with common problems that could arise in the classroom with students. I really like reading the hints about things I could do to warm up the students before teaching them more challenging lessons. I would never had thought to do that before and I am glad to know now and have ideas of things that I could use to do this with. Thanks!
