Four different skills apply to language. Those skills are reading, listening, speaking, writing. Receptive skills are reading and listening. Productive skills are speaking and writing. All of these skills are all equally important and all must be applied in the classroom. This unit covered receptive skills and ways to properly teach receptive skills to students.This unit went over the two productive communication skills of speaking and writing. It delved into the two types of classroom activities, accuracy and fluency, utilized by an instructor and gave examples of each. It also included many types of creative communication games an instructor can use to concretize the material taught in that day's lesson in a fun way.
