I have now a clear picture of the different tenses.I realized that there is another word for present continuous and that is present progressive tense.The present perfect tense relates the past to the present and although commonly used by native speaker ,presents some difficulties to the English Language Learner.Furthermore,In pronunciation part ,the main point relates to the contracted forms.An interesting unit. I was unaware of the range of tests available. Is it possible to devise a fair test of all four skills? I don?t know. I imagine that not every student would be sufficiently proficient in each skill to pass a standardised test. The ability to listen to a dialogue and then answer questions about it may fall far below the ability to read a passage and then answer questions.
