This unit has covered the many different teaching methodoligies that have been used in teaching TEFL/TESL, but the main focus has been on the Engage, Activate, Study (ESA) methodology in particular. The ESA method is considered to be the most effective by this course in teaching English as a second language. In addition to becoming familiarized with ESA and other teaching methodologies, I feel that the extensive examples of in-class activities suitable to each lesson section will be very useful. I like to consider myself a relatively creative person, but having so many examples and ideas of activities to pull from is going to be immeasurably helpful to me. At the very least, it's helped to take off a small measure of stress going into teaching for the first time.
