Unit 16 on conditionals and reported speech is another example of things native speakers do naturally without think about it. Reported speech for example, is a natural thing for me to do. It is a very situational thing. Being accurate will determine whether my meaning is understood. Once I take the time to think about the application of time in this, suddenly it becomes a very complex concept.This unit was very helpful as it made me think consciously about methods of teaching. I am beginning to realise the multiple layers that contribute to effective teaching and the skills and frameworks of knowledge these units provide me have built up my confidence. I am more enthusiastic and excited about starting my teaching career as I come to terms with the concepts & content of these units.
