I learnt about the eight parts of speech. Beginning with nouns, when they are used and the main types. Including Common, Proper, Abstact, Compound, and Collective. There are countable and uncountable nouns. Later, I learnt about adjectives and when describing certain things in a sentence, there is a specific order. There are comparative and superlative adjectives. I was taught about Articles and the difference between Definite and Indefinite articles. I also learnt about verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, prepositions, and conjunctions. In English, I never really thought that each word in a sentence meant something. Whether it was a possessive personal pronoun, or the different types of adverbs. Every word we use belongs to one of the eight groups (parts of speech)
