Unit 18 covered modals, phrasal verbs and teaching aids.
The unit started by looking at modals and the basic rules that surround them and then looking at the usages of the modals and how they are used with past, future and present tenses. Teaching ideas were given on ways to effectively teach the students about modals in the classroom.
Next was the passive voice which explained that there are two different voices in English, the active and the passive. The form and usage was covered for the passive voice.
Related causes were then looked at, which is a group of words containing a subject and a verb.
Finally phrasal verbs finished off the unit with there being three types. Type 1 - Intransitive, type 2 - Transitive separable and type 3 - Transitive inseparable.
