This is a unit that deals with evaluating of students. It identifies a number of ways to asses and these include tutorials, evaluation by the students and tests. The unit however concentrate on the tests which are classified as placement tests, progress tests, diagnostic tests, practice tests and the general external examinations.I have learnt when to use a particular test while examining the different capabilities of the students.This unit was very beneficial as it provided the TEFL learners with a basis on how to effectively apply an ESA lesson. As we have seen in the previous section, without understanding what receptive skills are and without having the right attitude in class, students will fail to learn and the teacher will increase his/ her level of frustration. All in all, receptive skills must be understood in order to successfully conduct a lecture.
