I learned from this section?what are good techniques for managing classes. I also learned good use of gestures, whole-class grouping, using pair work, methods suitable for reducing the amount of time a teacher has her back to the class when writing on the board, how eye contact should be used in the classroom, methods likely to reduce teacher talk time, and appropriate method of improving the effectiveness of giving instructions.This unit is about difficulties that teacher might have while teaching and how to deal with them. It can be useful if teacher has his/her first class, or if classes are too large, or if there are some students that have some troubles in class and so on. Even though some of these tips were already given in previous units, this unit is more detailed structured and gives more ideas of how to deal with the problems that are more common.
